If these cosplayers are you, please tell me so I can credit!

Yay! It’s me as Edea and my bf as de Rosa! So glad I searched the Bravely Default tag. You were so cute :D.

I embroidered not one but TWO Anna bodices today! One adult size, and one child size, scaled down 2/3rds. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I can’t wait to see the finished product my client/friend will be making!

If you’re interested in having this embroidered for yourself, either on a bodice you supply or as freestanding pieces, please don’t hesitate to contact me for pricing and turnaround times! I just purchased my very own industrial embroidery machine after nearly a decade of using one at work and I’m putting mine to work for cosplayers! You can PM me here, or visit my Facebook page or my Etsy shop. (My Etsy is very new! Sorry there’s not much there right now, but that will be changing very soon!)

Here’s a compilation of progress photos for Military Cadet Edea! She’s nearly done. No problem to have this complete for Anime Expo :D. It’s been a load of work (I made the bag from scratch and made all that piping myself) but I think the end result is worth it!

THIS IS FANTASTIC, CAN I GET A PHOTO WITH YOU AT AX? /cries forever/

@pogpung Aww you are too sweet! Of course you can! Not sure when I’ll be wearing this in the halls but I will be competing in the Masquerade with this costume.

Anonymous said: Just wondering. Do you roll hem ruffles?

Yes I do! Several kinds in fact. Sometimes I do a rolled hem with a sewing machine. This can be finicky if you have something not perfectly straight to do, but for long ruffles it looks great if you have the time to do it. I can do rolled hems on my serger too, which is super fast! I only have white thread for my serger so I can’t use this on dark fabrics. I’ve also done hand rolled hems. My Eternal Sailor Uranus has hand rolled hems, because I put fishing line in the hem and wanted my stitches to be invisible. It took forever but looks great!

Yay! I finished Uranus! And my lovely Neptune is windofthestars :D. It was a blast cosplaying this at Sabakon. Plus I really enjoyed the con too! Judging the Masquerade was so much fun and I got to see just how talented everyone is in this town!

More pictures coming soon once I’m not lazy and actually turn on my computer. This photo is by John Lemon Jr - thank you!

Since Winter Soldier was awesome, have some more Captain America loli! It’s a shame I didn’t get any full view pics of my coord last night because the new shoes I have (matte blue heels with patriotic bows) look WAY better than those red pumps I originally wore. I think the new curly wig is better too but the old straight one also has its charms.

I really want to replace my old yucky striped socks with Meta’s new sailor striped socks…there’s even little stars on it! I’m sure I’m going to think about this so hard the red ones will be sold out when I finally make up my mind :P.

I bought this dress the moment it was released…and it took over 3 months before I was able to wear it. While I adore the print and design of this dress, I was disappointed with the quality. The zipper broke and the dress is not patterned correctly in the front. Plus a dress made of such a delicate polyester satin needed boning in the bodice. So I installed some boning, replaced the zipper (which needs to be replaced again once I can find the right color) and ran a gather stitch at the top of the bodice to make it a sweetheart neckline. I’m glad I can wear this now, but I will always be a little sad that I paid so much for a product that should have been better.

But this coord turned out nice at least! It’ll be better once I get some lavender tights instead of layering light pink tights over purple ones :).
